The YCHS Class of 2023 paraded the halls at the elementary school this morning. Congratulations Class of 2023 from YCEMS!

First grade enjoyed planting pumpkins and building a worm farm at Lampe Heritage Farm and Pumpkin Patch. They also enjoyed eating lunch and playing at Riverside Park in Iola.

3rd graders each created a page to put in a published class book.
They wrote a page about a world changer who inspires them and drew a picture of that person.
Mrs. Fountain and Ms. Cradduck are so proud of their hard work with researching, editing, and finalizing their work!!

During Art with Ms. Hamman the students completed their tour around the world learning about the cultures and folk arts of several countries ending in Japan. They created Koi fish kites for National Day of the child.

Brice celebrated his birthday on Friday. Happy Birthday Brice!
Students were recognized last week for bravery and curiosity.
Estes’ 5th graders learned all about Cinco De Mayo today!
They now know all about the victory that the Mexican Army had during the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. They enjoyed cooking Mexican food and learned all about the cultural traditions!
