Third graders have been learning about fossils through time and how scientists use animals from today to compare features and learn more about the fossils from the past. Today students got to see if they could outrun a dinosaur! Few were successful, but it was a great day of outdoor learning in beautiful weather!

Nancy Kelley came to our 7th grade Kansas History classes today to tell us about the Ghost Towns of Woodson County. It was very informative and the students learned about ghost towns like Belmont, Keck, Crandall, Kalida, Defiance, and Bramlette. Thank you Ms. Kelley!

First grade celebrated Kansas Day today. Mrs. Wendland came to talk about her honeybees. They made a sunflower and with real sunflower seeds, and they had a birthday party for Kansas.

The 8th grade American History class went on a top-secret mission today to solve the XYZ Affair that occurred during the John Adams administration. They learned how to evaluate witness statements and come up with conclusions on the events that happened in 1797! They accepted and accomplished the mission!!
