Coffey Health Foundation established the Roy G. DeLong Scholarship to encourage students to pursue a college education. The scholarship is in the amount of $500.00 a semester for 4 years and is awarded in Coffey and Woodson counties. The YCHS recipient is Madelynn Collins.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 13 is awarding a $200.00 scholarship. In selecting a student they look for someone who has exhibited qualities of Courage, Honor, Leadership, Patriotism, Scholarship and Service. This year's recipient is Julia Day.

A new scholarship, for this year only, is the Seth Tadlock Memorial Scholarship. Seth graduated from YCHS in 1994. The $1,000.00 scholarship is being given by his parents in his honor. This year's recipient is Matilyn Tadlock.

A new scholarship, for this year only, is the Mitch Jones Memorial Scholarship. It is being given by his family, since Mitch was an avid golfer they wanted it to go to a member of the YCHS Golf team. The recipient of the $155.00 scholarship is Reece Solander.

Driver's Ed Sign up!
You can now sign up for Driver's Ed. You MUST be 14 by July 7th, 2020. Cost is $30.00.
All 8th Graders will be getting the forms mailed to them. If you are not in that group, but would like to take Driver's Ed this year you come up to the District Office and pick up the paper work. When you have filled them out and return them to Natasha Hurst at District Office M-T 7:30 am - 3 pm.
You Must have the paperwork returned to Natasha no later than June 26th so there is time to process the paperwork.

Trent Burton is receiving a Legacy Scholarship from the Ashley Clinic in the amount of $500. The recipient of this scholarship is a graduating senior who plans to continue education or a program after high school, and who has a parent employed with the Ashley Clinic.

The Woodson County Democratic Party Scholarship is funded by donations from members of the party who support the value of public education. This year they are awarding 2 scholarships, each in the amount of $250.00, to Sarah Barry and Caden Graham.

The KLA/Cattle Women's Scholarship was founded to offer a scholarship to a YCHS senior who was pursuing a college study in an agriculture, vo-tech, or family and consumer science field. The scholarship is in the amount of $1,000.00 and this recipient is Taylor Jacobs.

The Yates Center Elevator Scholarship was formed in 2011 to provide a scholarship to YCHS seniors who were pursuing a degree in any agriculture related field. The scholarship is in the amount of $1,000.00 and this recipient is Taylor Jacobs.

The Wanda & Donnel Adams, Sr. Scholarship. Through some extra effort on behalf of the family they would also like to offer 2 other scholarships each in the amount of $200.00 to Krais Baker and Taylor Jacobs.

The Wanda & Donnel Adams, Sr. Scholarship was established by their family in honor of these two outstanding Yates Center supporters. This year they are giving 2 scholarships each in the amount of $400.00 to Kayle Smith and Reece Solander.
