Good luck at State Scholars Bowl!


Ms. Shaffer's 7th grade Science class continued the volcano tradition. Some students had explosive volcanos while others were nonexplosive. They enjoyed learning about different volcanos.




Mrs.Estes’ 5th grade class wrote Valentine Letters to all the residents at Yates Center Health & Rehab.
They loved getting to do this for the residents in our community! They can’t wait to hear about the reactions from the residents! ❤️

First Grade celebrated the 100th Day of School!

Third Graders today are looking a little old. They are celebrating 100 days of school this school year.




Mrs. Estes’ 5th grade class split into two teams and had a Pie Face Showdown while finding the Greatest Common Factor and Least Common Multiple during their math lesson today!





Congratulations to the Middle School Quiz Bowl B team! They placed second at the meet hosted by Jayhawk Linn.


Covid Report-February 9-Going into today the positive Covid cases are 1 at the elementary, 1 at the high school, and 1 one staff member. With the low case numbers, this will be the last report unless we experience another outbreak, at which time we will again report building numbers where you can make informed decisions whether you send your students to school.

STATE BOUND! Congratulations to the Scholars Bowl Team for advancing to the state tournament this weekend. The team finished as runner-up at the Regional Tournament.

For those that have heard about the mattress fundraiser from neighboring schools, they are coming to Yates Center on March 26th. If you would help our softball and baseball players by simply getting the word out, it would be greatly appreciated. They offer six months same as cash financing if anyone wants to know.
